Does the voice recording leave my device?
Speech recognition uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API. The audio is processed locally or via your device's speech service (Google/Apple). The resulting text is then encrypted in xNotePadAI — we never receive audio.
Can I edit the structured result?
Absolutely. AI structuring is a suggestion — shown via diff approval like all AI features. You can accept, reject, or manually edit any part of the structured output before saving.
Does it work offline?
Basic dictation works offline on devices with local speech recognition (Chrome, Safari). AI structuring requires a connection since the model runs on Cloudflare. You can dictate offline and structure later when reconnected.
